Choosing Wholeness with Christ

There is a die-to-yourself theology that runs through all of scripture. I think becoming nothing is so challenging because we spend our whole life trying to become something.
The fact is, in order to be filled with Christ, we must be emptied; to become a new creation we must become nothing, and be reshaped in the image of our King. After all, Jesus said that we had to deny ourselves and take up our cross; do we believe he was serious when he said it?
Paul said in Galatians he had been crucified with Christ, and he no longer lived...but Christ lived in him. For the next 5 weeks we are going to look at what it means for us to become less, so that Jesus can become more.
