Corky was born and raised in Texas before attending the University of Florida where he received a Degree in Health Education. He served as Co-Owner of South Brevard Physical Therapy in Melbourne for 15 years before attending Seminary at Emory University where he received a Masters of Divinity. He served a number of churches in the Melbourne area before being appointed as Senior Pastor of Georgianna United Methodist Church in June of 2004.  He has a great deal of experience in the area of Leadership and Adult Spiritual development.


Corky serves as a volunteer Chaplain with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office as well as serving on several local Boards and Agencies that support our community. Corky also is an Adjunct Faculty member at Eastern Florida State College where he teaches World Religions and Leadership. 


He is married to Deedie Calhoun, a Board Certified Kindergarten teacher at Tropical Elementary. They have 2 children, Chris and Kyle. As a family they are thrilled to be able to live and serve in such a wonderful community as South Merritt Island.
