SEPTEMBER - PERSPECTIVE
“I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2
“One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple." Psalm 27:4
"The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.” Isaiah 9:2
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.” Psalm 46:1-4
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21
Lord, examine my perspective. Where am I looking for hope? Are my present
circumstances causing me to forget the beautiful story of my salvation and your
ongoing love for me?
Lord, examine my life: how I spend my time and resources. Guide my steps and fill me with a spirit of generosity. Thank you for…
Lord, examine my heart. Am I living in the pain of the past or worrying about an
uncertain future? Help me to trust you day by day as I face the following…
Please pray for the following:
~That Georgianna would be a house of prayer pouring love and light into our community.
~Those battling cancer and other illness, both physical and emotional, and their caregivers.
~That the presence of Christ would grow in our schools to produce lasting change.
~For our daughters in Haiti and missionaries throughout the world: peace and hope.
~Support and refreshment for our pastors and church staff and their families.
~Those serving in the military and their families.
Lord, keep my eyes firmly focused on you. May I clearly remember and
share the stories of your faithfulness with others as I look forward with
hope to the future you have planned for your children.
